They were even both hospitalized and diagnosed within a month of each other. These two mothers are now writing a book together. It is the story of two beautiful girls and two mothers who prayed for each other daily and the miracles they found in their two year journey together. It is the story of friendship and inspiration, of struggles and miracles, of joy and sadness, of love and loss as they share how they supported one another as the the girls went through radiation, chemotherapy, as they watched the girls return to school and coped with relapses and ultimately the death of one of the girls. Laura was inspired to write the book and has spearheaded the project. She then asked Laurie to be her co-author. Both mothers share the initial story of their girls, they share the relationship that developed between Laura and Laurie as they supported their daughters in hospitals 500 miles apart from each other. Laura finishes the book by sharing and summarizing the many things they learned about facing your child’s cancer with Hope, Strength and Courage!
